 Hello, my name is Pastor David Hemphill. It is my delight to serve as the Pastor of the Valley Baptist Church of Oswego, IL. The Lord called my family here after graduating from Crown College in Powell, TN where Dr. Clarence Sexton is the Pastor of the Temple Baptist Church. I finished a four year Bachelor’s degree as well as my Master’s degree at Crown Seminary. I am very thankful for the ministry of Dr. Clarence Sexton and its great influence on my life.

May 23rd - "Remember When" Banquet |
|
 There will be a special 50’s style banquet for all ladies and girls on Friday, May 23rd at 6:30 PM at the church. Get out your poodle skirts, cat glasses, ponytails or just get ready for a fun time of fellowship. Invite your co-workers, neighbors, mothers, daughter, granddaughters or any female who would like to come. Mrs. Kathleen Dion will be the special speaker - Carolee's mother. The men of the church will do the honor of serving the delicious food made from the “Remember When” café. Don’t miss out on this special evening!

May 25th - Dr. Richard Dion |
 Dr. Richard Dion and his wife Kathleen will be our special guests all day on Sunday May 25th. Dr. Dion has been the senior Pastor at Fairview Baptist Church in Great Falls, Montana for over 41 years. The Dions are the parents of Carolee Hemphill and six other children including 23 grandchildren. You don't want to miss this Sunday as this unusual Man of God preaches to us some exciting truths from God's word.

May 30-31: Father Son Retreat |
 Calling all Fathers and Sons - pack your overnight bags and come with us to Camp Joy in Whitewater, Wisconsin for our annual Father and Son Retreat. We will leave the church at 5 PM on Friday, May 30th and return at 7 PM on Saturday, May 31st. This is always a great weekend of activities, games, great food, preaching and singing. Plan on coming along. Call for more details.
